Chemicals have already harmed our environment to the point that the damage is now permanent and the planet is no longer able to neutralize the environmental impact of these substances.
A study by the University of Stockholm discovered that the levels of harmful chemical compounds in rainwater worldwide have risen above the acceptable limit values, making it unfit for human consumption.
The most dangerous compounds are found in shampoos, packaging materials, and cosmetics, which are then released into the environment, waterways, and air. They build up inside the body after being ingested with water and cause severe consequences.
These synthetic substances have an impact on fetal growth and fertility. They also lead to elevated cholesterol levels and an increased risk of obesity and several cancers.
In our study, we inquired our users if they believed that they were consistently taking steps to mitigate harmful environmental effects.
34% of the respondents feel they contribute significantly to environmental protection, they might be able to do more.
