The fake soldier who claimed on Twitter that he was fighting in Ukraine was exposed.
When the conflict in Ukraine broke out at the end of February, a Twitter account with the name “Canadian Ukrainian Volunteer” was created. Its owner identified himself as a member of a “special sniper unit” that was fighting with the Russians.
The man spent months persuading his 120,000 followers that he was a member of a sniper unit, but he flopped after sharing a few images. Those in the know noticed that in the pictures he was wearing a vest from Aliexpress, a Cyma CM.045C airsoft replica and a plastic helmet.
