According to the WHO, otology is one of the most neglected areas of health in the world. Many people today have some sort of hearing problem. Early detection of hearing loss is especially important, as most hearing injuries worsen over time, so it is important to treat the problem as soon as possible. For example, childhood diseases that cause inflammation of the middle ear can also lead to hard of hearing. However, in many cases, hearing loss in adults can be caused mainly by high-noise work and the side effects of some medications. In the early stages, hearing problems are usually still well treated. The World Health Organization predicts that by 2050, a quarter of people will be struggling with some form of hearing loss. In the Pulse app, we were now wondering if their hearing is important to our users and if they go for regular hearing test. Unfortunately, 86% of respondents do not regularly visit for ear screening. Only 13% are those who take it seriously and often visit the otology.
