Dairy products to protect our heart – A survey by Pulzus

A series of international studies found correlation between regular dairy consumption and reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

One study examined specifically the relationship between dairy consumption and heart disease. Results seem to overturn the misconception that milk is unhealthy, as the study revealed that milk fatty acid can reduce the risk of vascular disease. In the study, people who consumed larger amounts of dairy products, up to three servings a day, and thus ingested an adequate amount of milk fat, had a lower chance of suffering from cardiovascular disease.

Evidence suggests that a certain amount of saturated fats consumed can still be healthy. Apart from that, dairy products contain other beneficial compounds, such as amino acids, unsaturated fats, vitamins K1 and K2, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

We asked the users of the Pulzus application what kind of milk they buy, with what percentage of fat content? 38% of respondents tend to buy milk with a fat content of 1.5 percent, while 33% prefer milk with a fat content of 2.5 percent.
