What would be the most ideal retirement age? – A survey by Pulzus

By 2050, the percentage of people over the age of 55 is predicted to increase to 40% from its current third. The retirement age was raised from 62 to 65 as a result of a cycle of rising the age cap, but in accordance with the recovery plan committed to Brussels, the Hungarian government is preparing for pension reform. There is probably no immediate need to raise the age restriction further, but in the long run, it will be beneficial to raise the retirement age to 65 in order to account for increased longevity.
We polled Pulzus users to find out when they would feel most comfortable retiring. 31% of respondents would retire at age 55, while 44% would consider this to be good between the ages of 56 and 60. Only 4% of respondents said they would retire after the age of 65, compared to 18% who said they would cease working between the ages of 61 and 65. 3% of users chose not to respond.
