Educators’ civil disobedience is considered a disciplinary issue? – A survey by Pulzus

Sándor Pintér, Hungarian Minister of the Interior, stated in connection with his public education that he does not accept the civil disobedience of teachers, which he considers to be a disciplinary issue.

“Civil disobedience comes from Gandhi, who attempted to enforce an unarmed rebellion of an entire Indian nation against the oppressors. Something similar happened (in Hungary) after 1848-49… we are not in such a serious situation”. The Minister of the Interior stated that” one-man civil disobedience” cannot be allowed for, it is not part of the legal order, therefore it is not to be accepted. “I consider it a disciplinary issue” he said.
However, he acknowledged that the strike can still be a legitimate tool.
