Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport’s air passenger tax proposal was unveiled by the Municipality of Pestszentlrinc-Pestszentimre in December. Except for those under the age of 18 and district residents, all travelers leaving from, arriving at, or transiting through the airport shall pay the HUF 1,000 per trip air passenger tax as a municipal tax.
The Kria outlawed the XVIII. application of the district municipality’s air passenger tax at the request of the Capital City Government Office.

A total of 54% of respondents think that there is no need for an air passenger tax, 30% are undecided, and only 15% think that the tax should be implemented.
